IMPOSSIBLE ROUTE WEST YELLOWSTONE

Mission

The Vegan Cyclist and Jeremiah Bishop are challenged by Tour Divide winner and winter biking specialist; Jay Petervary.  Jay’s winter hell route is extreme Fat Biking.  Will these two winter beginners remember what they learned from their winter survival course? Will they make it through the sub zero wilderness.

Why

The Vegan cyclist's worst fear is the cold, and this could be redemption from our tour gravel episode in France where Tyler became hypothermic.

Tension

Riders have to work together Obviously going to be comical since neither of them have fat bike experience or Sub 0 riding.

Side plot

Jay  P’s backstory Iditarod 1,000 across alaska- Race stories.

Jay breaks the fourth wall and behind camera plots on ways to make the ride harder on use. And gives subtle rubs about our low prep, mental toughness and the expedition mindset.

Route Jay p’s Custom torture route

Created as a variation of Jay’s fat pursuit race route it features two savage days of close to 20 hours of riding on day one followed but a climb to 10,000 feet on day two in the middle of winter!

Riding the 11th Annual Filthy 50

This weekend we hit the 11th annual Filthy 50, a mountain bike race that’s 52 miles with 3,800 feet of climbing. It’s definitely not a casual ride—people often underestimate it based on the numbers, but by the end, you know you’ve been tested.

PAS Normal Studios & The Mid Summer 200K

Cadence Cyclery Encinitas recently had the privilege of hosting PAS Normal Studios for their Mid Summer 200K ride. Regardless of your opinion of the PAS brand, there is no denying one thing. Between their US-based youth cycling program and now this group ride, they are here to impact the cycling community for the better. And they have some deeply passionate people working hard to make it happen. We are looking forward to more of this and hope to aid in their efforts however we can.

Exploring Big Sky Country Ahead of the Belgian Waffle Ride

I’ve always believed that having a plan is good, but being flexible is even better. Our recent trip to Montana proved that point in the best way possible.
