At the heart of the Assos Speed Club is a passion for cycling that transcends borders, bringing together riders from all corners of the world. This global community thrives on shared experiences, celebrating the culture of cycling through rides that connect people and create lasting memories.
One such ride took place in sunny Encinitas, where members of the Legion LA, Miami Blazers, and ATX Outlaws converged to join local shop riders and friends of Almsthre. With the generous support of SRAM Road and Magna Hydration, the event was a true celebration of cycling and community.
The day began with a warm welcome at Queen Stage Coffee, where riders fueled up with delicious pastries and coffee. Energized and ready, the group set off for a 43-mile ride. The route offered a mix of coastal views and foothill climbs, with a total of 3,018 feet of elevation gain. The ride started along the coast, meandered through the scenic foothills of San Diego, and eventually looped back to the coast.
After the ride, the group gathered to unwind and share stories over beers and sandwiches, reflecting on a day well spent on two wheels. It was more than just a ride; it was a testament to the power of cycling to bring people together—whether they’re locals or part of the extended family of those who love to "do."
In true Assos Speed Club fashion, the event was a perfect blend of challenging riding, great company, and a deep appreciation for the culture of cycling. It’s rides like these that remind us why we love to ride, and why being part of the global cycling community is so special.

The goal was deceptively simple: as a group, climb 1,000,000 feet in a single day on San Diego's Mt. Soledad. At first glance, it might sound monotonous or downright tedious, but scratch the surface, and you'll find an endless maze of roads winding their way up to the summit. The real kicker? No matter which route you took, each lap only netted you a mere 700-1,000 feet of elevation gain. A million feet? Yeah, it was a grind—but somehow, everyone did it with a smile.
