The BWR Utah, dubbed the Hell of the South (West), presents a unique juxtaposition to its California counterpart. With 128 miles of Gravel Race broken up by road sectors, this Euro-style Spring Classic on American soil promises insanity, challenge, and an unparalleled experience. World-class cyclists, including former WorldTour riders and defending champions, flock to tackle the course. The goal was deceptively simple: as a group, climb 1,000,000 feet in a single day on San Diego's Mt. Soledad. At first glance, it might sound monotonous or downright tedious, but scratch the surface, and you'll find an endless maze of roads winding their way up to the summit. The real kicker? No matter which route you took, each lap only netted you a mere 700-1,000 feet of elevation gain. A million feet? Yeah, it was a grind—but somehow, everyone did it with a smile.
