BWR Arizona 2025

3rd Annual Belgian Waffle Ride Arizona

Otherwise known as "The Hell of the North Desert," if the creative vernacular hasn't impressed you, the course certainly will. We strapped a GoPro on Lance Haidet to give you a little rider POV of the first dirt section of the 2025 Belgian Waffle Ride Arizona.

Race Morning

We made our way to the top of the first road climb at the start of the first dirt section. On the way up, I realized I'd been looking at last year's course — instead of 10 miles with 1,000 feet of climbing, it was 18 miles with 2,900 feet of climbing to reach the first dirt section.

First Aid Station

After seeing the leaders crest the top of the climb, we made our way back down the road to the first aid station — located at the bottom of the first dirt section (the same section where we had the GoPro on Lance).

Back to the Expo

After some light haggling with a few friends, we made our way back to the expo. I'm not sure if it was unfortunate that we had to work the expo to avoid the race — or if I was lucky to be working the expo to avoid the race.

All in all

We had a great time and are already looking forward to spending a long weekend at the Hell of the North Desert next year — and we hope to see you in our backyard for BWR California!
