We're out here in Cardiff at Best Pizza. Thunder Thursday, baby! This is year four of running Thursdays. It started off in 2020 with a couple of good friends just meeting up for a fast bike ride and some pints after. It turned into something beautiful.
Now, it's usually 20 to 40 people, and everyone's just having a good time. We have different pace groups. A's are normally averaging anywhere from 21 to 23 mph, and the B group, a little separated, is at the back of the pack, really anywhere from 17 mph to 20 mph. So, there's a little something for everyone. It's a pretty fast-paced ride, but we also have Saturdays.
Saturdays are all-inclusive, no-drop rides with multiple regroups. It's not a bloodbath like Thursday, so everyone's welcome. We want everyone to be there, meet the team, and get some beers after to meet your two-beer minimum requirement. Awesome, awesome! More than just a couple of rides.
Team Best is a legitimate cycling team, correct? Yeah, we've been going around for a couple of years, just messing around and trying to take things a little more seriously this year. We'll see what comes with it. The team has been blowing up like crazy. We have great guys and great brands supporting us. It doesn't get much better than that, connecting with the community and having those guys come out for rides once a week or every other week. There's nothing better than that, you know? Connecting with the community and the brands that are helping things grow is beautiful. What's the best way of getting in contact with you guys and showing up for a ride? I'd say Instagram. Or, if you see a bright-ass Best jersey riding around town and you're curious, just ask us some questions on the road. We don't bite. We love chatting and talking about bikes. Team Best is on the road, and a lot of people are coming from word of mouth, which is always the most fun way to get people.

The goal was deceptively simple: as a group, climb 1,000,000 feet in a single day on San Diego's Mt. Soledad. At first glance, it might sound monotonous or downright tedious, but scratch the surface, and you'll find an endless maze of roads winding their way up to the summit. The real kicker? No matter which route you took, each lap only netted you a mere 700-1,000 feet of elevation gain. A million feet? Yeah, it was a grind—but somehow, everyone did it with a smile.
