I love this little bag. Getting my phone in and out is a bit of a stubborn chore, so I might start using the handlebar bag more for that. I ride a smaller bike, so space is very tight with bottles on the frame. Lycra catches on the velcro, so I switched to the excellent silicone straps that either came with this bag or another ALMSTHRE bag.
The OG Compact Frame Bag is the perfect fit for my BMC Road Machine AMP X 01. With the e-assist info window and power button on the top bar, this bag works great on the underside of the top bar, still allowing me access to the e-assist. The one I had before sat on top of the top bar and didn't allow for ease of use of the e-assist. And it looks more streamlined now too!
I’ve been a cyclist for over 20 yrs now, and gone through a number of mostly seat bags over the years. Just recently I started doing gravel rides and I was looking for something not in handlebars or saddle, but something compact to put on the frame to fit my essentials, and a small pump; this bag did the trick. Although I also ride small frames, I’m okay with fitting a smaller water bottle on my down tube or none at all for shorter rides. I tried it on both front and back. The rubber straps are a must, as they help keeping it in place. The materials and quality are pretty good.
My initial impression is only positive as the bag is incredibly well made, looks good, and just the right size.
It’s just big enough to hold my phone, tpu, and repair kit. But not big enough to feel bulky or in the way while riding.
The bag appears larger in the pictures than in it is in hand. But that’s how compact it is. It’s like a waist pouch, but for your bike. I like the fact that it can hold the stuff I need; phone (17 pro), snacks, extra tools. I like way it looks on my black gravel bike with red markings; understated but effective. I will be getting those silicone straps. The Velcro might be a bit tricky. Overall, glad I invested in a good quality frame bag.
