Wrapping up another epic San Diego BWR last weekend also marked the end of the 2024 Tripel Crown of Gravel series, where we proudly served as the official bag sponsor for the third year in a row. This year we took our collaborative efforts to a new level by designing an entire collection of Signature BWR products.

The Belgian Waffle Ride Tripel Crown was designed to provide participants with diverse racing experiences, the series features a points-based omnium format for both Waffle and Wafer distances, accommodating both professional and amateur riders. Points earned across the three races will determine the Tripel Crown champions, with extra weightage given to the BWR California event.

The 2024 series boasts a substantial prize purse of $37,000, with individual event purses and Tripel Crown awards up for grabs. With prizes awarded to the top performers in both male and female categories, the series promises fierce competition and unforgettable cycling experiences for all participants. Our resident Director of Photography and master of all things content, Rob Wessels, went out on a ride with BWR COO & Gravel Guru Philip Tintsman to test out the new BWR Signature Collection. Who is Philip Tintsman, you may ask? Get to know Phil here.

Team Best MAAP Equinox ride: "A Million Feet, One Smile at a Time"

The goal was deceptively simple: as a group, climb 1,000,000 feet in a single day on San Diego's Mt. Soledad. At first glance, it might sound monotonous or downright tedious, but scratch the surface, and you'll find an endless maze of roads winding their way up to the summit. The real kicker? No matter which route you took, each lap only netted you a mere 700-1,000 feet of elevation gain. A million feet? Yeah, it was a grind—but somehow, everyone did it with a smile.
